MY LOVE IS LIKE A RED RED ROSE

Meredith Hall and the musicians of La Nef pay homage to the prolific Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796) with this selection of songs and instrumental pieces on the theme of love. The talented soprano sings in the Scottish and English dialects of the period, interpreting the texts of Robert Burns with striking aptness and a rare intensity. In his adaptations of these pieces, the virtuoso Sylvan Bergeron has enhanced the rhythms of the dances and brought out the beauty of the melodies.

Meredith Hall : soprano
Sylvain Bergeron : lute, baroque guitar
Patrick Graham : percussion
Robin Grenon : harp
Élise Guay : flutes, bagpipe
Betsy MacMillan : viola de gamba
